Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 & 7A Loans

The U.S.Small Business Administration (SBA) helps Americans start, build, and grow businesses. At American River Bank, we partner with the SBA to provide these loans to small businesses. This collaboration makes it easier for small businesses to get loans that generally have rates and fees that are comparable to non-guaranteed loans. SBA 504 & 7A Loan uses include

Eligibility Highlights

  • Businesses with a net worth less than $15 million
  • Business net profit after taxes less than $5 million average over last two years
  • Business to occupy 51% of existing building or 60% of a new construction project

  • Most types of business—retail, service, wholesale or manufacturing

California Capital Access Program (CalCAP) Loan

CalCAP loans are a great alternative for existing California small businesses who don't currently qualify for SBA or traditional commercial loan financing.

Program Advantages

  • For small businesses that have improved their financials and now have a positive cash flow, and improved credit
  • $1 million maximum loan amount

Eligibility Highlights

  • The majority of the businesses employees must be located in California
  • Business must occupy at least 51% of an existing building's commercial space
  • Refinances are eligible, but certain qualifications must be met
  • Higher fees than both conventional bank and SBA loans
  • Loans cannot be used for passive real estate investment (investment property)
